The Importance of Human Resource Functions

Nowadays, many companies provide recruitment through their websites and it helps to involve more candidates. Oftentimes, companies have difficulties with recruitment. The HR department is not always able to coordinate and incorporate all the candidates in the adequate manner. The research asserts that the HR department may drain employees from certain overseas countries instead of training them in their own countries.

Manpower Planning

Manpower planning or the HR planning is another important human resource function. Its tasks are to involve the right number of people, as well as to find out the right time and place for the better organizational perspectives. It is important to estimate the situation and people that can coordinate with each other in a way, which can be favorable for the organization.  The Human Resource planning is very important for any organization and has gained a special place in the process of industrialization. Many experts consider that manpower planning is an essential part of the company`s success (Bohlander & Snell, 2012).  The proper human resource planning can be provided by certain procedures, such as developing employment and design programs, making future forecasts, and analyzing manpower inventory.

They suppose to have good motivation in order to achieve the company`s objectives. The HR department is also responsible of planning future organizational goals and perspectives. These goals must be clarified to the employees for their future interaction and desire to achieve these goals and plans. People may produce better results, if they are aware of particular goals. Organizations with proper manpower planning are always more successful than those whose plans are not fixed.

Employee Motivation

Employee motivation is one of the major functions of the Human Resource Department. This is usually done through different rewards, which ensure employees that they are doing their job well. Rewards motivate employees for better work. There are a number of compensation packages that may be in the way of holiday offers, awards, equities, end of year bonuses, salary increments, and others (Bhagria, 2010). Employee motivation is an important HR function. Those organizational leaders, who realize the importance of motivation, will gain better results and achieve their objections in the future. Positive attitude to employees as well as positive approach to their work is good stimuli for future achievements.

Motivating employees is a difficult task, because this process touches several subjects, for example, such as psychology and ethics.. Though it is hard to estimate all disciplines that may influence upon motivation, the HR representatives must understand human nature. An understanding of this will lead to better interaction and communication between employees and organizational leaders. This can be effective employee motivation at work and therefore, effective leadership and management. Many scholars acknowledged that happy employees work more effectively and professionally. That is why those organizational leaders, who understand the importance of employee motivation, can achieve better results in the future.

It is worth mentioning other important HR functions, which can be rather essential for organizational leaders in the process of achieving their business goals. Thus, employee development is a very important HR function. Most business authorities agree that employee development is necessary in the process of achieving organizational goals and success. Business leaders are finding effective tools to active employee development. Different programs are implemented with the aim to contribute into future development of the company`s employees and the company as a whole. Well-developed employees with proper training and professional skills will help companies to succeed and make better profits. Moreover, employees may enjoy their work, what may lead to better results, and help the company to succeed.
