Inductive reasoning is a way of making observations and coming up with conclusions based on certain ideas and the observations. This may include a short passage of a practical observation. However, the conclusion may not necessarily be true or accurate. The conclusion may be subjected to discussions and other opinions. In the passage, the story is about a girl screaming in pain and calling out for her mother. The passage shows that the girl is in a lot of pain which is being induced by someone else. The fact that the girl is screaming calling out her mother shows that she is very close to her mother and that is why she is calling out her name. According to the passage, it is clear that the girl is being subjected to pain by someone else, possibly by a man.
This assumption is made considering the fact that she describes the feeling as that of being stabbed again and again. It is, therefore, clear that the pain is too severe. According to the passage, it is also evident that the girl always screams calling her mother’s name in case she is in great pain. It is also evident that the attacker is merciless and does not care whether she is in pain or not. This is also described by the fact that she is screaming continuously. It is also clear that the girl knows the attacker Te pain she is undergoing is too much, and it is clear that she has never experienced such kind of pain before. It is also evident that she may be alone and that there is no one else to help her. That is why the attacker is continuously subjecting her to pain. It is also clear that she cannot escape as the attacker has a lot of hold on her. It is also evident that the event is taking place in a solitary area as there is no evidence to suggest that it is close to where she is familiar with. It is also evident that she is being subjected to a rough kind of treatment which she compares to being stabbed.
However, it does not mean that she is being stabbed practically, but a lot of force is being used against her. It can also be concluded that she may have done something to provoke the situation she is being subjected to. It is also clear that she is not trying to resist or fight back. This shows that the attacker could be much more powerful than the girl. It thus can be understood that the action being perpetrated on her is against her will and is being done to hurt her. It can also be concluded that she may be young enough since it is the young girls who mainly call out their mothers when in pain. This can be attributed to the fact that most mothers spend a lot of time with their daughters and perform many activities together.
Deductive reasoning, on the other hand, tries to analyze an argument depending on the evidence portrayed. In this scenario, it is clear that the girl is being subjected to a lot of pain. The pain is mainly being induced by an attacker who is familiar to her. This shows that the pain could have been induced through several means. The fact that she is comparing the pain to being stabbed continuously shows that some object is being used by the attacker. The object being used is, however, not clearly known but it could be a heavy or metallic object. This is mainly because stabbing is done by the use of a knife or a sharp object. It thus portrays that a harp object may be the one being used to torture her.
It is also evident that she is crying out aloud calling her mother’s name. This, according to the inductive reasoning, shows that the girl is may be close to her mother in terms of relationship and that is why she is calling out her name. However, this does not mean that she is not close to any other person. This statement tries to explain that her closest person is her mother and she may have a lot of trust on her. It is also clear that her mother could be protective and may have protected her daughter before in a difficult situation. Therefore, calling her means that the girl is quite desperate for help and there could be someone else she relies for help other than her mother. It is also clear that the person attacking her is known to her and that is why she even goes ahead and mentions her name.
This fact could be analyzed in this perspective; maybe there was a misunderstanding between them leading to the situation, or she was just attacked. The attacker in this case could be retaliating over something she did to him or she had other issues unknown to him. It is also evident in the passage that the attacker does not care about her feelings. This is based on the fact that she is being subjected to the pain continuously. It is therefore clear that the attacker is very merciless or is out to ensure that she is deeply hurt. Generally, the passage shows that the action being perpetrated against her is quite intentional and is mainly for the purpose of ensuring that she is hurt. This could be for the purpose of teaching her a lesson or mainly to ensure that she does not repeat what she may have done.
