GTA and Postal are one of the most negative computer games. However, in November 2009, after appearing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a great scandal was inflamed in Russia – the Russian power departments demanded to cut out from the Russian version of the game an episode with an execution of peace citizens at the Sheremetievo airport. For the first time in the territory of Russia, the game is banned to be sold! And, by the way, it was the most expected game of this year – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In the territory of Russia, the game will not be on sale. However, it only concerns versions for Xbox 360 and PS3. The owners of PC will be able to buy a box.
The video game was banned because of the scene of execution of prisoners by terrorists taking place at the airport (by the way, Activision can be fined for it). The computer version will go on sale only because online activation, during which automatically there is a downloading of the patch blocking this episode, is necessary for its start. And in console versions, it will turn out to make neither online activation nor blocking.
The press-service of Activision confirmed that the provocative scene at the airport would be really present at Modern Warfare 2 shooter. However, those who wanted to miss that moment would have a possibility to do that.
The game creators say, “Yes, this scene is present at the final version of the game. We added it to show how cool the malefactor and his division were. After the scene viewing the player has a desire to stop them quicker. However, you will be able to miss this moment. In an initial stage of the game there are two checkpoints, on which players are warned that they are expected to watch the moment, which can be unpleasant for some of them. You can simply agree to miss the sceneâ€.
The representative of the publishing house added that Modern Warfare 2 was the game for the adult audience; therefore a presence of cruel scenes was justified.
